With Congress in recess this week, people across the country expect to see their representatives in their home district.
Many Town Hall meetings with GOP representatives have gotten heated as people express concern over proposed policies. Representative Dave Trott's constituents fear their voices aren't being heard because they say he is nowhere to be found.
At a town hall meeting in Novi Thursday night, around 100 people showed up. Trott did not.
He is reportedly out of the country. Demonstrators brought a live chicken to the podium. A not so subtle way of communicating their belief that Trott is being "chicken" for not being available to speak with his constituents.
According to his Facebook page, Trott was hosting a Town Hall meeting by phone earlier in February, but based on the many comments, it appears that phone call may not have happened.
Trott did not address the issue of being available on social media although he has posted about other subjects.
