The estate sale for "Little House on the Prairie" star Melissa Gilbert's Brighton home has been canceled.
Gilbert and actor-director husband Timothy Busfield cited "reasons beyond [their] control" in a statement:
“Due to reasons beyond our control we must cancel the estate sale. We have enjoyed working with the people at Poof and are saddened to disappoint both Poof and their customers.”
The sale was originally scheduled for July 27-28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to Poof! Estate Services in Ferndale, the company handling the sale.
The couple reportedly moved out of Michigan to head to New York City.
