Quick check your hand!

Are you missing your wedding band?

A little boy found a ring while swimming in Lake Huron.

Nine-year-old Ben was so excited he found it. He and his family were at Lakeside Beach in Port Huron on Sunday.

He explained, “Snorkeling with my goggles all the way down and I saw something shiny.”

But Ben’s mom, Linda Park, made it clear: it’s not “finders keepers.”

Ben said, “I (kept) on asking if I can keep it.”

Linda had responded,“No buddy, this is somebody else’s romantic story, this is not for you to keep.”

The ring has silver and gold tones with the initials “K + L” on it.

There is an inscription with the ring company’s name inside, but Linda wants to keep that private. Only the rightful owner would know that.

Linda posted the ring on Facebook hoping to find the owner. By Tuesday afternoon, the post was shared more than 45,000 times.

Ben said, “I think that’s the right thing to do so I’m just wishing we found the owner.”

He is just excited to find out who it belongs to.

Ben would tell him, “Here’s your ring, there you go no more problems!”

The family will be taking the ring to Port Huron Police by the end of this week.

If you believe this is your ring, call the police department.
