According to the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, the number has jumped from 20 closed beaches on Monday to 30, four of which are in Metro Detroit.

The beaches in metro Detroit are St. Clair Shores Memorial Park Beach in Macomb County, Scotch Lake in Oakland County and Newburgh and Sumac Points in Hines Park in Wayne County and Allen Lake in Oakland County.
