3 spots in America you can legally drink in the street

and last updated

A surprising number of cities have loosened up their public drinking laws and this has many Americans taking the party outside. Kristina Guerrero and Jared Cotter have their three favorite spots in the U.S. where you can legally drink in the street on today’s Buzz List.

3.  Butte, Montana

In Butte you can freely walk the streets with drink in hand. Just be sure you don't fall into a pit. Amazingly you can drink from bottles, but that's probably because you may need it as a weapon in case of an elk attack.

2.  Savannah Historic District in Savannah, Georgia

You can sit on the bench made famous by Forrest Gump and talk about life being like a bottle of whiskey. You always know what you're going to get. Just remember, you can't have glass containers which is why you see red solo cups all over the city and at the front door of bars and restaurants.

1.  Power & Light District in Kansas City, Missouri

It’s a mega shopping and entertainment complex where drinking is allowed and possibly encouraged so you'll buy more stuff. Again, just in a plastic cup.
