For most of us, we can't even think of starting the day without a hot cup of java and for many charities, the caffeinated "pick me up" comes in the form of cash from coffee companies across the USA. Jared Cotter has three companies that are giving back to their communities.
1. Agape Roasting in Denver, Colorado
Co-owner Brad Baltz says Agape is all in for their community, giving 100 percent of each quarters profits to a worthwhile cause.
2. Fire Dept. Coffee in Rockford, Illinois
They are coming to the rescue for military and first responder charities. Founder and lead roaster, Luke Schneider says giving back is a core part of their business.
3. Coffeed in New York, New York
10 percent of all sales go to organizations like the New York Restoration Project which helps to build vegetable gardens in underutilized areas of the city.
