A family that left to escape Hurricane Irma in Florida is now grieving the death of their 2-year-old daughter.
Losing the adorable girl has devastated a family originally from metro Detroit. Now, they've asked for help as they cope with tragedy.
Leena Guidot was a beautiful smiling child that brought joy to her family. But her life was cut tragically short Tuesday night during a drive with family back to Tampa, Florida.
Leena was in a smaller SUV - allegedly struck by two men fleeing police.
Her brother, 5-year-old Landon, suffered bruises, but was released from the hospital.
The children's mother, Cortny Music, remains hospitalized with a punctured lung and broken ribs after the crash in Henry County, Georgia.
A fourth passenger, the children's father Jeremy, was not hurt.
Loved ones say the crash happened off of I-75 and the family had just moved to Florida in the past couple weeks.
They were traveling back to Florida after safely escaping Hurricane Irma when the crash happened.
They’ve now setup a GoFundMe page to help with medical & funeral expenses.
