The mother of a 19-year-old girl contacted police Monday when she received messages from her daughter indicating she was being held against her will.
The victim was able to provide a description of the vehicle she was riding in, and let her mother know that the suspect was male. The victim's mother reported the information to 911, and just before 1:00 p.m. Monday the suspect's vehicle was located.
Lansing Township Police stopped the vehicle at Saginaw Hwy and Waverly Rd. They took at 20-year-old suspect into custody, and he is being held by the Eaton County Sheriff's Office. The victim was physically unharmed.
The incident originally took place in Eaton County, and is still under investigation by authorities.
