Detroit police say a 15-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot while he was in his bedroom early Friday morning.
According to police, it happened about 12:15 a.m. in the 17800 block of Runyon on the city's west side. That's north of McNichols between Outer Dr. and Hoover.
Right now, police say the circumstances aren't clear, and they are investigating whether the shooting was criminal or accidental.
Police say there were people inside the home at the time of the shooting, and they are still interviewing those people.
