Pop superstar Taylor Swift held moment of silence in honor the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, during her Reputation concert at Ford Field Tuesday night.
"She did so much for music," the singer-songwriter said while on stage in Detroit. "She did so much for women's rights. She did so much for civil rights."
Swift honored the soul singer who died Aug. 16 of pancreatic cancer at the age of 76 with moment of silence. During the minute of silence, she asked her fans to reflect on their love and respect for everything that Franklin accomplished in her lifetime.

"She was one of those people that, no matter what you said, no matter what glowing, positive thing you said about her, it would be an understatement," she added before requesting the lights be lowered in the stadium for a full minute of silence.
"We love you, Aretha," Swift said when the moment of silence concluded.
