Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot was the fifth-largest in the history of the lottery, worth $522 million.
A single winning ticket matching all six numbers – the white balls 1, 2, 4, 19 and 29, plus the gold Mega Ball 20 – was sold in San Jose, California.
In addition to the jackpot win, there were many other big winners in the July 24 drawing.
Eight tickets matched the five white balls to win the game's second prize. Six are worth $1 million each, sold in Arizona, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota and New Jersey.
The $1 million winning ticket was sold at Dynasty Liquor, located at Puritan and Wyoming, in Detroit.
