LANSING, Mich. — Group 2, a saxophone quartet that was formed at Michigan State University is presenting a streaming holiday concert broadcast on their website on December 23rd, 2020 and multiple other platforms throughout the holiday season. The performance will run about an hour and feature holiday classics for viewers to enjoy from the comfort of their homes. For more information on the production, how to view the broadcast, or to feature the production on your own platform visit www.group2quartet.com [group2quartet.com].

When the COVID-19 outbreak began back in March, Group 2’s four saxophonists Evan Harris, Eric Zheng, Tyler Young, & Adam Epler decided to quarantine together so that they could continue creating and working on their craft. When the winter rolled around, the 4 MSU students decided to embark on the holiday production that would bring joy to their fellow students and the members of their communities. They recorded the performance privately at one of the quartet member’s local churches, with a goal to have it available for viewing to the public by Christmas. Members of their community are encouraged to share the holiday concert on their own platforms, and make it part of their holiday celebrations be they news outlets, libraries, schools, churches, and even local small businesses & organizations.
