Williamston Sunrise Rotary will join service clubs, first responder organizations and religious organizations nationwide at 5:30PM EST on January 19 for a five minute pause to think about those we have lost or are losing due to the COVID-19 virus.
SOme of the things that will happen during this time throughout mid-Michigan includes:
- Churches will toll their bells across the country
- Williamston United Methodist Church will invite anyone to come ring the historic UMC bell in honor of any loved one
- First responders will sound their sirens
- Individual citizens will put a candle in their window for each person they know who has either died or been affected by COVID-19
- Medical staff will continue to do what they are doing: trying desperately to save lives
