The need is great when it comes to foster families in West Michigan. There are so many kids that need a home where they can feel at home, according to Bethany Christian Services. About 13,000 kids in Michigan and 800 in Kent County alone are looking for foster families. Many right now are with relatives or in a group home.
There are all types of people that can apply and get more information on becoming a foster parent as long as they are over the age of 18. Living situations and financial limit are all taken into consideration.
