Halloween is one week from today, but kids across Mid-Michigan can get a head start on collecting candy tonight in downtown Lansing.
Tonight is the 9th annual Trick-or-Treat on the square, a family friendly event on Washington Square in downtown Lansing. Volunteers will be standing at stations along S. Washington Square handing out candy to local children.
The event runs from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Activities include trick-or-treating, hay rides, face-painting, animals from Potter Park zoo, and even fire dancers. Cider and donuts will be served and trick-or-treat bags will be available at the Welcome Booth on a first come, first served basis.
If it rains, the event will be postponed until Tuesday October 25th from 5-7:30 p.m.
