1. Denver Zoo in Denver, Colorado
This zoo is a great place where children can come explore, connect with nature and come face to face with awesome animals. At their Up-Close Animal Encounters you're actually encourage to feed the animals.
2. Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium in Omaha, Nebraska
The winters are cold, but it's warm all year-round in the Desert Dome. It’s the world’s largest in-door desert. If you’re not into the dry heat then they’ve got you covered, literally, with America’s largest indoor rain forest.
3. Saint Louis Zoo
This awesome zoo in St. Louis, Missouri has been called by many, the best zoo in the United States. The Best part is that it's absolutely free to get in.
4. Indianapolis Zoo in Indianapolis, Indiana
This zoo is for the birds. No, you really have to check out their beautiful macaws. From taking flight, to taking a swim, or just hanging around, this place has it all and is the perfection zoo for the entire family.
