One week to go until the July Fourth holiday and local police are already responding to numerous reports of fireworks being set off.
People fed up with the airborne fireworks disrupting their sleep are hoping Michigan's 2011 Fireworks law will be repealed.
An online petition on moveon.org is now just a few hundred signatures away from the 25,000 signatures needed to be sent to the state legislature and Governor Rick Snyder for action.
