Graduation can be a joyous time, but it can also be stressful.
some college graduates may be scrambling around to figure out the next step, but not all hope is lost.
Alayne Ingram helps students in their transition into the workforce after graduation at Lansing Community College.
She says you can expect to see a lot of jobs opening around this time.
"The market continues to grow, succession planning is happening, we see a lot of people retiring, so that opens a lot of jobs,"she said.
She also says the first step is getting connected with the career center at your school because there are resources and partnerships with colleges and employers.
"If you do not have a job ready, look into internships because even if you're not getting guaranteed a full time job, they give you on the job experience which is more attractive on your resume as you start the job hunt,"she added.
Taking time to get better at what you want to do for your career while in school and working on personal branding helps. Networking is also important to help employers remember you.
