This is a week where journalists and engineers fill Cobo Center for the preview days of the North American International Auto Show. We went looking for some of the fun stuff you'll want to do when the show's doors open to families like yours.
The public days of the show begin on Saturday. And don't worry... there is plenty of fun.
We tried out a cool game-like experience where you can drive a Dodge Viper. We also found an area inside Ford's display that lets you design and build cars out of Lego bricks.
Ford also has simulators that let you virtually drive the automaker's cars. And Denso offers a simulator that lets everyone try their hand at parking.
