Gas prices in Michigan are up 8 cents compared to last week, AAA Michigan reports.
Drivers are now paying an average of $2.52 per gallon for regular unleaded.
Overall, motorists are paying an average of $38 for a full 15-gallon tank of gas, a discount of $9 when prices were their highest last May, AAA says.
Metro Detroit's current average is $2.54 per gallon, 4 cents more than last week's.
The most expensive gas price averages were found in Ann Arbor ($2.59), metro Detroit ($2.54) and Marquette ($2.53.) The least expensive were found in Traverse City ($2.36), Flint ($2.46) and Saginaw ($2.46.)
