Reality TV show can be cutthroat!
One Oakland County woman's cooking skills were as sharp as knives.
Suzanne Lossia is many things, an author, single mom and now reality TV star after winning the Food Network's 'Cutthroat Kitchen.'
She is not a professional chef, even though she beat out three culinary experts on a cooking competition.
"Here is a small time girl from Detroit versus them. And I just can't believe the experience that I had, it was fun."
Lossia went on a casting call and got picked even though she's only cooked for family and friends.
She didn't tell anyone she was on the show until a couple of days before the episode aired on April 24th.
Contestants are given money to spend during the competition. Suzanne's strategy for winning was to bid on items to sabotage the other contestants.
"I got to win this! Im not going back to Detroit, I am representing Detroit.
Suzanne won more than $6,000 and bragging rights.
