DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. — More classes will be cancelled due to flooding on Thursday, while a flood watch remains in effect for several counties in the eastern half of Michigan.
The rain isn't over either. Metro Detroit is preparing to get hit by another round on Thursday.
On Wednesday, the rain flooded homes, swallowed streets and caused waterways to overflow.
Among the areas hardest hit was Dearborn Heights.
Hundreds of people were stuck in their houses, and several basements got up to 3 feet of water inside.
The mayor of Dearborn Heights has asked the state to declare an emergency for the city.
