Some people take a Walt Disney World vacation to enjoy the legendary rides such as Space Mountain or Splash Mountain (which is going to be getting a major overhaul soon!) But, many Disney World fans — including myself – head down to the theme parks and resorts to sample all kinds of delicious foods! From Dole Whips to beignets, you can always find something to satisfy your hunger and cravings.

Unfortunately, many people are holding off on a Disney World vacation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though the Florida theme parks opened back in July, they have changed many of their policies. For some people, the threat of illness and changing policies are enough to make them put a hold on vacation plans.

But, Disney still wants to give its fans a taste of their food favorites, so they have been releasing recipes from various areas around the parks. We’ve seen their Ultimate Mac & Cheese from the Epcot Food & Wine Festival, grilled cheese from Toy Story Land and more. Now, Disney is serving up something sweet: a yummy-looking chocolate waffle with frozen espresso mousse.

The people at the official Disney Parks Blog took the time to pull together the recipe to share with fans. The dish was a previous offering from Tamu Tamu Refreshments at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. And, the recipe’s release comes at the start of Waffle Week, according to Alex Dunlap, Disney’s food and beverage communications coordinator.

Everything from this recipe is made from scratch including the mousse, the waffles, and the chocolate sauce. It serves 8-10 people.

First, you will make the espresso mousse so it has time to freeze. Ingredients for the mousse include white chocolate chips, heavy cream, espresso (or strongly brewed coffee), and egg yolks. Then, you’ll make the chocolate sauce and keep it warm until you’re ready to serve. Finally, you’ll whip up the waffles using flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, eggs, butter, and semisweet chips. You could always make them Mickey Mouse-shaped, if you like.

You can get the full, detailed ingredient list and step-by-step instructions by visiting Disney Parks Blog, the official website for Disney theme parks. Now you’ll be able to bring a taste of Disney home and into your kitchen!
