SAFARI GAME RULES
ROTARY DUCK SAFARI is a FUN raising game played by individuals or teams. The object of the Safari is to have FUN finding ROTARY DUCKS while exploring the rich history of Williamston. Thanks to Williamston Depot Museum for the QR historical codes used in the Safari.
- The Safari begins August 1 and will end at midnight August 14
- Clues will be made available on July 31
- ROTARY DUCKS “land” onsite August 1.
- EVERY participant must register
- Registration closes on August 9
- Awards given on August 15. To be eligible, follow rules and complete Safari

- The Rotary booth at Eastern Ingham Farmers Market - corner of High and Putnam on Sundays from 10-2
“Duck Bill” requirements
- Name of your team
- Name(s) of each person on your team*
- Captain/Contact person designated to submit photos/video for your team
Registration includes option to purchase Official Duck Safari T-Shirt (required for winning awards)
- Participants vying for awards must wear Official Safari T-shirt(s) in picture with “found” ROTARY DUCK at each site
- Participants without Official T-shirts will not be considered for gift certificates but must register to join the Safari.
- T-Shirt pick up information is on Registration
*Every team member must be listed on the “Duck Bill” registration form. By signing, the Captain/contact person agrees to assure that each member of the team has read and agreed to the rules before participating in Safari; that each member agrees to obey all local, state and federal laws; and each member assumes personal liability for any damage or harm caused by members of the team.
THE SAFARI
CLUES to find ROTARY DUCKS will be emailed to teams on July 31
- Follow clues to site and find ROTARY DUCK!
Take an entertaining “SELFIE” PICTURE/VIDEO which includes all team members in Official Safari T- Shirt(s) and ROTARY DUCK at the site as “evidence” of completing the clue
- See award categories for ideas
- Limit video to 20 seconds
POST evidence to fox47news.com https://www.fox47news.com/yes/williamston-sunrise-rotary-duck-safari
- You may post “evidence” as you find each ROTARY DUCK, but will not be able to view other teams’ posts
- You must complete the Safari to be eligible for awards.
- Your posted “evidence” will be used by the judges to determine Safari awards
Deadline to SUBMIT evidence is midnight August 14
- Awards posted on williamstonrotary.org and fox47news.com by 5 PM on August 15
- All decisions are final
- Awards available August 16th 10-2 or mailed by request (see below)

- Be kind and have fun
- Be courteous and respectful to your teammates, competitors and all you encounter on Safari
- If interacting with a business, please remember to be courteous
- Always play fair. Don’t let your competitive instincts drive you to ruin other people’s chances to win
- No littering. No destruction of property. Always clean up after yourselves and your teammates
