Hard Seltzer may be the unofficial drink of summer, but Bud Light is looking to make it a year-round beverage with their new Seltzer Ugly Sweater variety pack, which includes four holiday-inspired flavors.
All four flavors in the new variety pack are made with cane sugar, natural fruit flavors and no artificial sweeteners. Each can has 5% ABV, less than 1 gram of sugar and 100 calories. The festive pack is now in stores nationwide. Find them in 12-ounce slim can variety 12-packs for around $14.
If you like fruit flavors for the holidays, there are two to chose from in the new pack. Apple Crisp has the flavors of fresh-baked apple pie, cinnamon and nutmeg. The Cranberry flavor, which has a bold berry aroma balanced with the sweetness and tartness from cranberry, is actually available year-round — but it’s included in the pack, since it’s also a seasonal flavor.
The two most holiday-like flavors are Ginger Snap, which Bud Light describes as an elevated hard seltzer with ginger spice flavor and delicate notes of brown sugar and vanilla, and Peppermint Pattie. As you might guess, the Peppermint Pattie seltzer tastes like peppermint and rich dark chocolate.
If these flavors aren’t your thing, Truly has also launched a holiday pack that includes four different flavors: Cran Orange Sparkler, Pomegranate Ginger Fizz, Holiday Sangria Style and Spiked Apple Spice.
Truly’s holiday seltzers will be available nationwide for a limited time beginning Nov. 1. Just like Budlight’s holiday flavors and the rest of the Truly lineup, each new flavor has 5% alcohol by volume, 100 calories and 1 gram of sugar.
While not seltzer, there are plenty of other holiday-flavored adult beverages you could try this season, including peppermint bark liqueur from multiple brands like Tippy Cow and (new this season) RumChata. Aldi also has a peppermint bark wine, which is a blend of white wine with peppermint and white chocolate flavor and cream.
If you like apple flavors, you can also find Baileys Apple Pie Liqueur, which would make a perfect after-dinner drink for Thanksgiving, Christmas or, you know, any day of the week.
Of course, you can also make your own holiday drinks with alcohols you may already have on hand, like this decadent “Santa’s Sin” cocktail made with salted caramel vodka, RumChata and hot chocolate or this salted caramel martini, which also calls for salted caramel vodka, plus caramel liquor, caramel syrup and simple syrup.
If you’re looking for a Christmas morning cocktail, you can even make a caramel apple mimosa or peppermint mimosa with champagne, white Creme de Cocoa and, of course, candy canes!
Will you be trying Bud Light’s new holiday seltzers?
