Lansing Community College Performing Arts kicks-off busy weekend

The Lansing Community College Performing Arts department is set to host three exciting events.

At 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15 the LCC Rock Band hits the stage of Dart Auditorium for their Winter Concert. Chris Rollins directs LCC students in the performance of classic and contemporary rock standards. The set will include original music written by LCC students from fall semester and covers of bands Pink Floyd, Blue Oyster Cult, Vulfpek, Amy Winehouse and more. The event is free.

Neil Simon’s The Good Doctor is sure to delight. It is directed by Andy Callis and performed by LCC’s Beginning Studio Theatre Class. Performances are 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15 and Saturday, Dec. 16 at LCC Black Box Theatre. Donations are suggested.

LCC dance students and faculty will showcase pieces from tap, jazz and ballet classes at a Dance Open House 4:00 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17 at Dart Auditorium. Donations will go to support the Dance Scholarship Fund.
