Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio says Connor Cook being chosen 100th overall in the 2016 NFL Draft is 'disappointing'.

On a conference call Sunday, Dantonio said he believed the quarterback's draft position was 'inaccurate'.

Cook was drafted early in the fourth round by the Oakland Raiders.

"I was probably living through the entire thing as well. I watched the entire draft. I was disappointed. I think that Connor is an excellent football player. He's done a tremendous job for us, for his football team," said Dantonio. "A lot of the success that we've had can be credited to his play and his leadership on our football team."

In the months and weeks leading up to the draft, Cook was criticized for a perceived lack of leadership skills. Many cited the fact that he was not voted team captain by his teammated.
