17-year-old Seth Stewart has been charged in the case of threats made at the Meridian Mall Friday night which led to an evacuation.

Stewart was arraigned Sunday morning on a "false report or threat of terrorism" charge.

By Sunday afternoon Stewart had posted bail which was set at $10,000.

Meridian Township Police say a man was overheard threatening to "shoot up the building" and that he had a rifle in his car. The witness who heard that told mall security, who called police.

Hundreds of shoppers and employees were evacuated around 6:30 p.m. Friday night while police searched the building. After nearly an hour and a half, police left saying the building was secure and no weapons were found inside. The mall stayed shut for the rest of the evening.
