Another University in Michigan is warning students not to hang hammocks from its trees.
Northern Michigan University in the U.P. sent a letter to students after it was notified by the city of Marquette that hammocks have been damaging trees in places like Presque Isle Park.
Police in Marquette plan on stepping up enforcement of rules that ban attaching rope, wire, nails or signs to trees.
Those caught doing so could be ticketed. The fines start at twenty five dollars.
