A burglary at the M-66 Bowling Alley is under investigation. It happened on Saturday, October 14 around 3 in the morning.

Deputies from the Township of Pennfield arrived on the scene after an alarm went off at the establishment. The Deputies confirmed the building had been broken into but the suspects had already left the scene. A suspicious vehicle was located and two men inside were arrested for the burglary.

The men are 31-years-old and 49-years-old and both from Battle Creek.

As a result of the arrest, the Calhoun County Detectives were able to link the 31-year-old suspect to three other burglaries. They happened at at Lafayette Auto Parts in the City of Springfield, Moonraker Restaurant in Emmett Township and a larceny of a coin-operated machine at Cornwell’s Turkey Farm in Convis Township.

Detectives were able to figure out that the men would break glass at the business with a sledge hammer, enter business and smash the coin vending machines to steal the money.
