The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. at the State Capitol Building.

The lighting of the tree was scheduled to happen Friday Night at Silver Bells but the festivities was canceled due to heavy rain and lightning.

Tonight's ceremony will include caroling and a countdown before the switch is flipped on the big tree.

Local artist Taylor Taylor and Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero along with BWL General Manager Dick Peffley are expected to be in attendance.
