Positive postings: Showing there is more positive in the world

Posted

One simple token of kindness can have a rippling effect. To show and teach that there are more positives out there then negatives in the world, one school took to posting them.

Positive Post-It Day took over Charlotte Upper Elementary School last week, where roughly 510 4th, 5th and 6th graders wrote uplifting messages on the sticky notes and placed them on lockers, walls and even other students and staff.

It was to show a celebration of one another and valuing the uniqueness of the individuals that make up the school.

“This holiday season Charlotte Public Schools are very grateful for our students, teachers, staff and parent community,” said Superintendent Mark Rosekrans. “The Positive Post-It Day is a unique way for all of us to share positive thoughts and reinforce an atmosphere of respect and professionalism.”
