A Michigan State Police sergeant is injured after his patrol car was hit on Tuesday near Novi, police say.
The vehicle was stationary in the center median of I-696 and the sergeant was doing paperwork. A vehicle then lost control and struck the car.
Police say the sergeant has minor injuries and the driver of the vehicle was also injured, but the extent of their injuries are unknown.
