Attorney General leading polls in GOP race for Governor

LANSING, Mich. (WSYM) - Attorney General Bill Schuette is one of four candidates running for the Republican nomination in next week's primary election.

The latest poll from Lansing-based Epic-MRA shows Schuette with a comfortable lead with support from 42% of likely voters polled.

Leuitenant Governor Brian Calley is in second place with 24%.

Rounding out the field are Patrick Colbeck with 11% and Jim Hines with 9%.

The primary election will be held Tuesday, August 7th.
