LANSING, Mich. — A group of women have started a campaign they are calling, #stopthebans.
These women are gathering together to protest what they call, extreme bans on abortion that strip away reproductive freedom from women.
Their website, stopabortionsban.org, states that this movement is "terrifying, particularly for women of color and low-income women who are most effected by these bans."
On Tuesday, May 21st at noon, the women will gather to rally at statehouses, town squares, and courthouses across the nation to speak out against these new bans.
Hosted by "Stop Terrorism Against Women," Stop Abortion Bans Day of Action is happening at noon in many locations across Michigan.
Those in the Lansing area can go to the state capitol at 100 N. Capitol Ave. to be a part of the rally.
