JACKSON, Mich. — A middle school teacher is on paid administrative leave after reportedly spanking a female student at Vandercook Lake Middle School.
The Jackson County Sheriff has opened an investigation into the matter.
"All necessary precautions have been taken to ensure the safety of our students and staff," said Superintendent Scott Leach.
