Meijer Brand Colby Cheese and Colby Jack Cheese is being recalled due to a potential contamination with listeria sold at the deli counter.
Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, elderly, or others with a weakened immune system.
The recalled cheese was sold in stores from Nov. 10, 2016 to Feb. 9, 2017.
No illnesses have been reported.
The effected cheese will be in packaging with UPC labels 215927xxxxxx or 215938xxxxxx.
Customers are urged to throw the cheese away or return it or a full refund.
