ST. JOHN'S, Mich. — On Sunday night, March 17, a 36-year-old St. Johns man, who reportedly was suicidal and armed, was reported to the St. Johns police.
They responded to the 500 block of N. Clinton Ave. in St. Johns at approximately 9:30 PM.
They tried to contact the man and learned upon arrival that he was also threatening to go to his ex-girlfriend's place of business and shoot it up.
As officers were setting up a perimeter around the man's home, he began to shoot at the officers.
The officers did reach the man by phone, at which time the man surrendered and taken into custody without incident.
No injuries were reported.
The man is now at the Clinton County Jail on multiple felony charges.
