Former senate democratic leaders Gretchen Whitmer will be sworn into office as Ingham County prosecutor Tuesday.
Whitmer takes over for Stuart Dunning III who stepped down as county prosecutor after being charged with multiple crimes related to prostitution in March.
Whitmer officially takes over as Ingham County Prosecutor on July 2nd. She said her focus is to ensure justice is delivered with the highest degree of integrity on behalf of the people of Ingham County.
She will not run for re-election this fall.
