Did you know that one out of every three families that needs diapers can't get enough of them?
That's why "Diaper Awareness Week" was created.
Many Mid-Michigan parents struggling with not having enough diapers.
This week is national diaper need awareness week, with the push on getting diapers to local families in need.
One in three families do not have enough diapers to get by on a daily basis.
Diapers can cost families about $80 or more a child, and often many just don't have the cash.
The Mid-Michigan Diaper Bank is a local agency helping to make sure parents have diapers for their children.
It supplies local agencies like the Homeless Angels, Hannah's House, Women's Shelters and more with diapers.
Those agencies distribute diapers to those who need them.
Theresa walz, the Director of the Mid-Michigan Diaper Bank said, "Diaper need is a real, basic need for these families with babies, toddlers, everybody should have food, shelter, and every baby should have diapers."
And it isn't just diapers for babies, but people with disabilities and the elderly also rely on adult diapers.
If you would like to help out, you can send cash donations to the Mid-Michigan Diaper Bank, or donate diapers.
