General Motors says it plans to eliminate a shift at its transmission plant in Warren next month.
Warren Transmission Operations will only operate on one shift starting in late June, according to GM spokesperson Tom Wickham.
The company is citing the recent reduction in passenger car production as a reason for the move.
No word yet on how many layoffs would occur at the plant.
