‘The Brady Bunch’ Cast Is Reuniting For An HGTV Renovation Show

Here’s the story: On Sept. 26, 1969, a lovely lady married a man named Brady. She and her three very lovely girls moved into his house, which surprisingly held all six of their collective children and a live-in maid.

Decades later, the Brady Bunch “kids” are making a comeback.

HGTV announced that a new series, “A Very Brady Renovation,” is in the making. The program features a full-scale renovation of the Hollywood house (which HGTV bought by outbidding Lance Bass) that the large, blended television family called home.

The house was previously used for exterior establishing shots but in the new renovations, HGTV will add 2,000 square feet to the structure, and HGTV stars will reimagine the set design from the beloved TV comedy to ensure that the house’s interior stays true to the 1970s spirit of the classic Brady home.

Although they are not involved in the home makeover, the former child stars from “The Brady Bunch” will make an appearance on the new show. On-screen siblings Barry Williams (Greg), Maureen McCormick (Marcia), Christopher Knight (Peter), Eve Plumb (Jan), Mike Lookinland (Bobby) and Susan Olsen (Cindy) will be seen in an on-camera walk-through of the completed home.

HGTV stars involved in the program include Jonathan and Drew Scott (“Property Brothers”), Mina Starsiak and Karen E Laine (“Good Bones”), Leanne and Steve Ford (“Restored by the Fords”), Jasmine Roth (“Hidden Potential”) and Lara Spencer (“Flea Market Flip”).

Robert Reed, who portrayed Mike Brady (father of the bunch) passed away in 1992. Florence Henderson, who played the matriarch, Carol Brady, died in 2016. Ann B. Davis, who played lovable housekeeper Alice, passed on in 2014. And just in case you were wondering, Robbie Rist, who portrayed memorable Cousin Oliver in a handful of episodes is still acting and lending his voice to animated characters in voiceover roles.
