Jogging can protect you from arthritis

People often fear that running wears away the cartilage in the knees and causes arthritis, but it turns out a daily jog may actually protect your knees.

Researchers at Brigham Young University studied fluid from the knees of 30 young adults, both before and after they went for a run.

After just a half hour of running, runners had less inflammation in their knees and reduced levels of protein linked to arthritis.

Those who didn't run and just sat for 30 minutes, actually had increased inflammation in their knees.
