It's National Infant Immunization Week and health officials in Michigan want to make sure your child is up to date on their vaccinations.

Vaccine preventable diseases like whooping cough, chicken pox, mumps and hepatitis a still circulate in Michigan.

According to a national immunization survey, Michigan is below the national average of 72.2% for immunization of children between the ages of 19 and 35 months.

That survey also shows half of Michigan children are not fully vaccinated with age appropriate vaccines by 7 months of age.
