On Friday, November 3rd, the Women’s Center of Greater Lansing will host the 9th annual In Her Cups Bras for a Cause Art Auction.

The event will be held in downtown Lansing from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Runway in the Knapp’s Centre.

The public is invited to join the Women’s Center in honoring and supporting women survivors who have been affected by cancer,

domestic violence and other traumatic events. The event is seeking all artists and crafters to donate their decorated bras to be put up for auction.

“The idea is that art is personal, and art heals,” said executive director, Cindie Alwood.“We have received beautiful creations, many dedicated to others.

In the past, bras have sold from $40 to $400.” All proceeds from the auction will go to programs and services at the Women’s Center and The Cancer Care program.

The program is a main beneficiary, providing individual services, employment, counseling and support services for women going through cancer treatment.

Tickets to the event are $25 for one and $40 for two. If you are interested in submitting a bra creation or attending the event, visit www.womenscenterofgreaterlansing.org for more information.
