It’s National Puppy Day, and area animal shelters are celebrating. The day was created to bring attention to the number of dogs needing forever homes. You can find puppies up for adoption at the Capitol Area Humane Society in Lansing, the Ingham County Animal Shelter in Mason and the Cascades Humane Society in Jackson.
