East Lansing is getting nearly half a million dollars to improve it's trail system and a busy intersection.
The money will extend the Northern Tier Trail through Albert White Park and would also install a raised boardwalk along the pond.
The city also has plans to make the intersection of Lake Lansing Road and Towar Avenue more pedestrian-friendly.
Last year, East Lansing got more than a million dollars to repair bridges along the trail system.
