Lansing, Michigan- On September 11, 2013, Lansing City Market will be hosting a 9/11 Service Project as a way for folks to give back to their community on this Day of National Service and Day of Remembrance.

In conjunction with Red Cedar Chapter of Wild Ones, Power of We Consortium, Michigan Community Service Commission, Volunteer Centers of MI, MI Nonprofit Association, MI Campus Compact and The League of Michigan we’ll be hosting a service project for our new wild flower/ butterfly garden.

The project will take place along the City of Lansing’s River Trail which will beautify an area that has been neglected for some time. We’ll be prepping the soil, planting, spreading wood chips and placing signage. This is a large project and we can use as many hands as we can get. Snacks, water and treats will be provided throughout the day!

Who: All are welcome as we’ll have different projects for different skill levels
When: Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 10am-6pm
