Pizza Party on State's Capitol Lawn

The Michigan Department of Tresaury's Michigan Education Trust (MET) is hosting its second annual pizza party on the State’s Capitol Lawn on Thursday, August 15th from 11AM-2PM.

Sponsored by Hungry Howie’s Pizza, the event will raise money to help Michigan foster care students attend college through MET's Charitable Tuition Program – Fostering Futures.

For a minimum $5 donation, attendees will receive a slice of pizza, a pop and ice cream with proceeds going to MET’s Charitable Tuition Program.

New this year, “The Pillow Effect.” The Michigan Youth Opportunities Initiative  (MYOI) will be on hand to accept donations of new pillows and pillowcases for distribution to Ingham County youth entering foster care.  The goal is 300 pillows and pillowcases.
