JACKSON, MI- Raks Sports Bar will host a fundraiser to benefit Guillain Barré Syndrome and Heather Brunty-Gales. The Heather Renee Benefit Concert and Silent Auction will honor Heather and all proceeds will be donated to her family. This event will be held March 1, 2014. The silent auction will begin at 5 pm and the concert will start at 6:30 pm.

Heather Renee Brunty-Gales passed away from Guillain-Barré Syndrome after being diagnosed a little over a year ago. Heather quickly became paralyzed on the inside, but was also unable to walk. After being hospitalized for over 13 months, Heather lost a tough battle, leaving behind three children and her loving mother.

Guillan Barré Syndrome is a life-threatening disease in which the body’s immune system attacks part of the peripheral nervous system. This disease is commonly brought on by an infection of some kind.

Help increase awareness and raise money for Heather’s family with this night of fun that supports a great cause. There will be a photo booth, local bands, photographers, a silent auction, pool and drink specials!

Raks Sports Bar is located at 101 Falahee Road in Jackson, Michigan.
